This past week Carolina Cycling News attended the 2010 Interbike trade show. Shortly after our arrival in Las Vegas, we headed to the 2010 Bike Tweetup for a great opportunity to connect with bike folks we usually just see online. There we ran into Chad Andrews (Charlotte, NC) with his Interbike TV film crew for the first of many times during Interbike. The next day we joined the crowds admiring the bike eye-candy on display in the endless sea of booths on the expo floor. As we made our way through the maze, we looked for companies who had also made the journey from the Carolinas. On the first day we visited the Hincapie Sportswear (Greenville, SC) booth where they were looking fresh as Interbike was just getting started. We found Nicole and Boyd Johnson at the iBike (Boca Raton, FL) booth where the iBike computers were displayed on Boyd Cycling (Greenville, SC) bikes. Along the way we bumped into Cleve Blackwell of Blackwell Sports (Greenville, SC) who seemed constantly on the move. We headed back to the hotel early so Neil could get ready to race in Cross Vegas.
On day two, we headed back to the Hincapie Sportswear booth were we shot the first of our videos. Watch the whole Interbike video playlist below to check out the following Carolina companies:
- Legacy E-Ride (Simpsonville, SC)
- Prudent Enviro Products, Inc. – SpinPower (Greensboro, NC)
- Bicycle City (Lexington County, SC)
- DeFeet (Hildebran, NC)
- CEP Compression Sportswear (Whitsett, NC)
Among the companies we caught sight of but didn’t get a chance to talk to were Cane Creek Cycling Components (Fletcher, NC), Zike (Greenville, SC), VeloSisters (Greensboro, NC) and The Hawley Company (Lexington, SC). Check out our Interbike Twitter list so you can catch their latest updates. You can also find their Facebook pages among our Carolina Cycling News favorites.
