While the external status page updates can be delayed, the internal systems are updated right away so the information available to her is current. Lo, she said, wait ye about 24 hours and if your laptop has not returned, call HP for a further update.
Do you think the HP system recognized my home phone number and automatically bypassed the crazy-making first layer of customer service? I was just grateful to speak to someone who actually seemed to understand what I was saying and gave logical replies.
